On Sunday 23rd June 2013, Lauriston Farm again attended the Blackwater Country Show near Maldon to display the Sun Hive and show sheepskin rugs, wool, knitted hats and jumpers, throws and information on the beef and lamb produce as well as farm tours. It is always a good day at the show which we have attended since it first began in 2006 and this year was no different.
The Sun Hive proved an irrestible attraction as people from all walks of life wanted to know more about the beautifull structure. The ethos of the hive resonated with almost everyone and there was a great deal of interest in attending the Natural Beekeeping Trust workshops.
We also made good sales of wool and knitted goods and received many compliments over the design of the stand.
